- Minnesota's Greatest Generation: Exhibit Opening Weekend
Opening Event: Sunday, May 23rd, 2009 at the
Minnesota History Center

Details: The event includes a discussion with exhibit curator Brian Horrigan about the origins
of the term "Greatest Generation" with input from authors Dave Kenney (Minnesota Goes To War)
and Tom Saylor (Remembering The Good War). A review of eight short documentaries, all
entries in the Moving Pictures Film Festival. Lastly, "In Focus: USS Minneapolis and USS Ward",
with excerpts from the crew reunion of the stories WWII cruiser and destroyer. These excerpts
were recorded at the final USS Minneapolis Association Reunion in 2007.
